TODAY'S BLOG IS DEDICATED to my friend, Betts who passed away yesterday. She was a HUGE GH fan and I met her on the old AOL boards. She was a dynamo.  I had no idea she was 30 years older than I--and she had no idea I was "so young"!! Cyberspace is wonderful that way. Anyway, Betty loved Luke Spencer more than anything else. So here's a pic for you -- and I know you'll be watching. xxoo

I'm HOME!

Can't WAIT to watch GH!! I'm so excited. Looks awesome. My trip to Baltimore was FABULOUS and I'd recommend it to anyone for a fun trip. We love exploring cities and this one had charm, a ton of bars/eats, a harbor, aquarium, nice people and really great public transport. Hopefully, I will catch up on the shows tomorrow and be able to tweet during the show. I start my work the NEXT week, Wahhhhhhhh. Why does it all have to get so good NOW? lol.

Honeymoon and Housekeeping!

Well, looks like our two "lovebirds" are going tropical for their honeymoon! Wonder if it's just the boathouse and "Party City"!?  If you look closely, Kiki's ring is NOT on her finger. Hmmm, did wardrobe forget it!? LOOK at Morgan's CRAZY STRAW in his drink. AHAHA. He probably had to get a virgin something because he's too dang young!

I myself will be on a honeymoon of sorts, out looking for Jerry Jacks and Faison. SOMEONE has to find that cure for Luke.

Maxie's water broke, ruining her shoes. Spinelli looked so excited. Ellie kinda wanted to tell Spin about the baby but ...will she?  She does 'let' him go to the hospital though.
Maxie's in labor, Lulu and Dante are smothering her.

Tracy got the front page of Kiki's Not A Q paper framed for her new office but AJ smashes it! He also tries to steal a stapler on his way out. heh.

Britt should have told Anna she was Faison's daughter. That would have thrown Anna for a loop.

Nikolas and Liz were the "summarizers" today--Giving us the low down on the ELQ coup. AJ saw Nik and Liz hugging and sulks off.

Sunday Surgery: Injectables

There's a lot to be said for a week that had (mostly) some of my favorite people on, and managed to move and lighting pace. A few bumps here and there but all in all, not bad.  Hey, we got to revisit some old ABC soaps too!

Duke and Anna action was all over! 

Get out your poison hazmat suits and get some wedding rice to throw...I think we should serve some champagne as well. It's that time again!!


The week started out a pain in the ass--especially with the KIKI Morgan wedding. Just when you thought Michael stopped it, they pulled that rug out and we find out the idiots really did get hitched. Now I suppose, from a writing standpoint this is a good thing because now we can spend time having Kiki be suspicious of Morgan, Michael lusting after Kiki and vise-versa. If they pull a WTD on this triangle, I will. SCREAM!! Use some birth control kids!

Sean's also holding on by a thread and his daughter gives Luke the "medicine" to help him go after the real cure. I'm glad JR could make it on the show for a short stint. Too bad Luke was dressed like a communist circa 1964 and distracted me. I do like how Sean has on an oyrish wool sweater and Anna had on a cardigan. You know, because tis' Ireland don't cha know.

 

This almost made it to prop of the week but so many of you pointed out that you can't drink propofol, it has to be injected that I decided not to. That little bottle was certainly shown enough though. Geesh! Poor Duke, laying in the alley after being poisoned. We did get treated to Dr. Obrect singing for us. Not that anyone noticed there was a strange blonde at Mac and Flea's party, but hey.  Lucy finally put the dots together-- but a little too late. 

Felicia and Mac's wedding. I put up a pic of adorable Emma to represent the part of the wedding I LOVED--you know, the normal, fun part. NOT the "wacky" Richard Simmons stuff. Now, I love me some good comedy. And I'm not  adverse to vets coming back but this was just WEIRD. The whole thing.  Thank GOD those two got married in the end because if they hadn't I would have lost it. 

Felicia and Maxie had a nice talk about Georgie and being a mother. Very heartwarming and special. Sniff. Then stupid LULU had to ruin it with her evil eyes and paranoia.  I know she's justified but it still bugged me. 

To top everything else off, the revisiting of Corinth happened. Yeah  that did happen.  Hopefully you saw my little guide down there to the whole history. It was pretty brilliant to tie that all in to this story. Especially given the fact Faison did cross over to Loving AND the whole poisoning stuff goes with this poison sheeze. Secret rooms! Clues! A crazy statue outside! woot!

Of course the GIANT guffaw of the week was Dr. O's time travel from the apartment to the exact spot that Holly and Luke were at in PA. We really can take a lot of things in stride but that? Was so blatant it was hilarious. I put it up to block taping and editing. Either that or Obrect has an identical twin. Someone should have caught that. It was just eye-ball rolling. 

I am SO Glad this Connie crap is ending! Good gravy.  Friday's talk between Sonny and Olivia about her,  coupled with Kevin missing the wedding for the appointment had me ready to kill her off myself. TOO much. Ava and Julian were hogging up the Q mansion for a few scenes too. Like I said earlier, GET YOUR OWN PLACE!

SCENE OF THE WEEK: You knew it when you saw it. Anna at Duke's bedside, talking first to Patrick, then to Dante. Perfection. Give Fin a raise!! 

PROP OF THE WEEK:  Dr. O's blonde wig!! Give it up for the hair!!

FACE OF THE WEEK:  Whatever the hell this was. ...

So, what or who does Luke see in the room? My guess is Laura as they are supposed to be back in Port Chuck to see their "Grandbaby" born. I would give anything for it to be a huge shocker like Mike Corbin or an undead Mitch Lawrence. heh. Ok, ok, I kid.

I was right, it WAS Richard Simmons. We knew he was coming back, just not exactly when. Well, there he is. He shoots off a GLITTER GUN.

Anna was pretty rough with Britt--Loved it.  She sent her to jail--with her PG vitamins. heh

Dr. O walks in on Luke and Holly. Heh. EXACLY 4.5 seconds AFTER ANNA broke into the apartment she was in! She went from PC to Corinth so fassssssssssst. It actually was distracting. Dr. O lets it slip that they have the cure for the plutonium. Then she says Jerry Jacks is dead. She also gave props to Hells for poisoning Luke. heh. 
Luke finds something in a secret room..don't know what.

Sonny and Olivia..HOW many times are we going to go through this "Does Connie love Sonny? Does Sonny forgive Connie? Does Connie forgive Sonny"?? Do they or don't they. WTF. ugh!! I could have lived without this storyline this week. 
Olivia was like "I feel tiny and insignificant"

Loving Moments

 

Morgan Fairchild in The City

First of all, thanks for all the comments about Loving and The City!! Loving was a soap that Agnes Nixon created and it had a LOT of ABC Crossovers. It became "The City" after it ended when Gwyn killed half the town.  (people actually "all moved" to Soho in NYC! LOL)

David's suggest of "Fake Q's" is a great one. Tracy hired actors to play her family.  Here's the clip:



There are a lot more, if you search "Fake Quartermaines on the City" you'll get them. This is the best, and it has Lisa LoCicero (as Jocelyn)  on it as well.  Tracy was involved with the Soletto crime family in that soap.
Jeremy Hunter, from AMC also made a crossover to "Loving" to help solve the murders... "Angie" was also on it for awhile.  Skye Chandler also crossed over (she was ALWAYS crossing over somewhere lol). Tess from OLTL was on The City played by Catherine Hickland.

Just know that the references tie into the Jerome family, Faison (who was on for a brief stint) and the fact that Gwyn poisoned people because of the pain she is feeling. It's a nod to Agnes Nixon and the glory days of soaps, even though Loving and The City weren't rating bonanzas. I don't think it will interfere with your understanding if you don't know the history, it's just a little gift to us ABC soap-obsessed.

So..Luke and Holly are in PA? Oh, CORINTH PA-- where the LOVING Murders happened. TONS of references to the fact that Gwen killed off half the town. Loving became The City, btw, which Tracy Q was on.
Faison also appeared on Loving, chasing Ava down. 
GOOD STUFF!! Gwen killed the last one with a powder puff.

Kristina Wagner looks gorgeous.  She and Maxie were talking about Georgie. Sniff.  They changed for the wedding so fast!! The Floating Rib looks  pretty!!  YEAAAA for the wedding.

I think JR may have had a stroke? He was pretty frail. SO happy he could be on the show!!

Duke and Anna were on, drinking beer. Getting ready for FleaMac's Pre-Wedding Party (which will become wedding party) They were talking about not being able to find out anything on Obrect while Spinelli is sitting right next to them, finding EVERYTHING on her. lol. ( He found her real name on Britt's birth certificate). 

Kiki finds out from Michael her Dad is Silas She and MORGAN already got HITCHED!! 
DOH!  She's like "Did you know".. He doesn't really answer, but come on, figure it out Kiki. Geesh.

Sunday Surgery: Waiting For The Marrow

This week was a good one. Kept my interest every day (we all know that's no easy feat!) -- There may be better things coming as well, especially with the Robin story ramping on up. Poor Ava got her truth spread all over town. I think she needs an Excedrin.

Things you need to know about Lucy this week: She ate a HELL of a lot of pie at Kelly's ( has no office). She and Scotty still have mad chem--and she gave Tracy her share of stock for some $$ for Deception.

Dinner at the Metro! Alice looked all pretty, and told AJ his grandfather would be so proud. Awwww, finally AJ was getting positive attention. It didn't last long-- but it was nice while it did. 

Where do I know you from?? Hmmm...anyway, I liked Mac Daddy defending Alexis' a bit when "Derek" was all coming on to her. Mac got all possessive. awwww. Isn't it a riot how this guy came from no where JUST when they are trying to find they mysterious "Julian" because of bone marrow? ahaaa. Such timing. 

I always age myself while writing this blog but DANG, anyone else think of that "Purple Rain' scene with Appolonia and he in the bedroom? I swear..same thing. Ok, so-- here we have the brothers, trying to both get Kiki. Michael's walking around like a wounded puppy. He even drinks with Olivia to try to forget!! The stupid thing is that Kiki is going thru with this-even though she KNOWS she doesn't really love Morgan. AND MORGAN KNOWS she doesn't love him!! WTH. I do feel like this is out of 1865 or something when people "had" to marry at a certain age and all that.  It's 2013. Just weird. I still say the notion of Kiki and Morgan marrying would somehow stop a Michael/Kiki romance is laughable in today's world. I really hope this storyline is attractive to the younger crowd. It's taking up a LOT of the summer. One other note, without a gal pal, Kiki's character is very flat. At least on OLTL Starr had Langston. She needs someone she can dish to.

 *Sigh*...just find that bone marrow already, will ya?..this is getting redundant.

Look at Silas' face..ahahhaa. Like "yeah, right..what ARE you going to do with that"!!?? Ava is just turning out to be an unbalanced, paranoid lush that slithers around the canvas (someone coined that in comments and I love it).  When she was talking to Julian, she gave him a shoulder rub that was super creepy. She's always somewhere, waiting to pounce-- or she's guzzling booze at the Q house.   At the moment, she's eating the show a bit, imo.

 
 WHO else forgot they were getting married? Geesh, hurry up will ya!!?

AJ and Connie! AJ went off the deep end on that but hey--the scenes were great. Sonny comes in and clocks him on the head with his gun. Michael basically tells AJ he doesn't care about ELQ and he's proud of his dad regardless. Yeah!! Loved it.  AJ needs a break. 

But..she didn't do what I told her to do!!

Sonny this week was kind of a whiny beeatch. First he makes dinner for Connie (giant bowls of pasta no less) and tells her how grateful he is she didn't run the story. Because you know, having one son marry a girl under false pretenses to show you love them makes so much sense. When he does find out about it, he goes nuts and storms off to The Metro and runs into Olivia. Whine Whine WHINE "you would never do that to me" he says. boo hoo. Get a grip.  When he goes back to his house (because Olivia tells him to) he bashes AJ in the head. Ok, I guess that was warranted because AJ was strangling Connie. WHERE WAS SHAWN? Maybe they can't have 2 Shawn/Seans on in the same week? LOL  Where was MAX? Sonny has such craptastic security. 

 

Blast from the past!! Good ol' Sean..and his daughter Anna!! Yeah!! I bet he needs the medicine because he's poisoned too. I want to hear what happened to Tiffany. Their daughter needs a bit of hootspah if she's Ellie Mae's kid. BTW, I was glad Anna didn't have a tam on lol.

 

SCENE OF THE WEEK: Nice--a great scene between Tracy and Liz. First of all, thank you for getting Becky out to actually ACT!! It's been too long. I love this angle. She can totally be a new "Monica" for the house. The kids can run amok in the mansion. I like it. Both actresses did a wonderful job. When Liz hauled off and slapped Tracy? Well. I was afraid she'd be leaving in a cast. heh. 

PROP OF THE WEEK: I had to choose this because it was ALL OVER this week. Everywhere. People reading it, hiding it...it was even at the courthouse when they were getting married. Felicia clutched it to her bosom!! A good Ebay item if the cast all signs it.

FACE OF THE WEEK: Man, AJ's got a whole closet full of awesome FACE!!! He's ready to crush Connie's windpipe--eeeeeee!! 


So..that's about it. The show still has some holes, but all in all I enjoyed it. The dialog was snappy and we've gotten some movement on all fronts. Soon those babies will be born, the Robin saga will heat up and Danny will finally get out of the hospital. Maybe Sam can go on a wardrobe spree. 

By the way, I wonder if the CBS blackout in some markets will  affect the ratings game for soaps. Maybe GH will move up in the pack if Y&R goes down?

AJ is a LOT Like Alan

You might not like it, but it's true!! So many people are dogging on AJ...but I have to stick up for him a bit.

Yes, AJ totally messed up and drove Jason into a tree while drunk. He was young-- I believe even Laura Bush was forgiven for having someone DIE on her watch. Any whoo,  The "Golden Boy Dream" was smashed to hell and AJ was left to be written into a horrible corner by none other than my "fave" soap character killer,  Mr. Guza. AJ could NEVER win--and it got worse as the year's went by. I remember he and Courtney. AJ   nothing wrong but BE AJ! Don't get me started on the Michael sheeze.  They acted like AJ was an ax murderer and Jason was some baby-whisperer. 

On to Alan and AJ. Alan also was a hot-head that often tried to kill people (Rick Webber and Monica anyone?). He did shady deals to get ahead, cheated AND was a drug addict.  He yelled a lot, and was pretty dang whiny about Tracy.  Monica can also yell, lie, cheat steal and act a victim (ask Leslie Webber) so, AJ didn't fall far from the tree.

 (BTW, Morgan/Michael are the "NuAJ/Jason"--down to the "You love your adoptive son more than me" scenario.)

So, you can hate AJ all you want, I for one hope he gets some redemption this time around. I'm so sick of Sonny doggin' on him.

Holly and Luke are at a house in Ireland, looking for Sean. The redhead opening the door..can she be Anna, Tiffany and Sean's daughter? WHY YES! She is!  AND Sean shows up!!  He needs that cure, you'll see.

And Derek, aka Julian shows up to be tested. Mac shows up too. Wonder WHO WILL BE THE MATCH!!?? 
Mac tells Michael Kiki and Morgan are getting married, he runs of to save them.

 

AJ almost managed to strangle Connie...but Sonny shows up with a gun

Sonny clocks AJ on the head with his gun and AJ goes DOWN! BOOM! He threatens Connie..which will no doubt lead to her "Murder Mystery" that's coming. AJ's devastated at the loss of ELQ...he even thinks Monica will be disappointed.

McSlias shows up at the Q house looking for his daugther. Michael's there too. Does Morgan really think if he gets married to Kiki she'll 'stay by him' when she finds out Michael isn't her cousin AND he rushed her??
WTF. HE's sooo stupid. 

DID Michael get there in time to stop the wedding? Hmmmmmm
