Sunday Surgery: Sponge

You know when the surgeon asks for the nurse to "Sponge" their forehead? That's me this week. Sponging my forehead. GH has been really up and down for me lately and I find myself not really caring if I watch the DVR or forget about it. Not a good sign. For some, GH is turning into what it always should have been and they are watching.  I'm very happy the ratings are up and things are looking rosy. But alas, I need that sponge. 

Pull your gear on, get a beer from Mac at the bar and sit next to those pink balloons in the corner. Let's do our surgery at the Floating Rib this week! 

If I had written this scene, someone would have gotten the Dead Man's Hand! 

First of all, having Sonny's wedding number 33 isn't really what I had in mind. Yes, we get that it's going to be FUN and CRAZY and all sorts of nuts, but it's STILL ANOTHER SONNY WEDDING. Zzzzzzz. Now, I have to say I did love the Poker Game aspect.  Why the hell the boys got together this time is beyond me. Free booze and cigars? Still the scene was great and I love the little touches like the club sandwiches on the side tray. Stuff like that just makes my heart glow. I did miss CONAN though-- and if I were Cartini I would get Roxy in to tend the bar there. Not even make a big deal of it, just have Roxy there with her porcupine. 

Yeah for Spinelli and Ellie... it's time he got a cute girlfriend. Yes, I love Spixie but let's be honest, she's married to MATT and needs a wake up call. BTW, I do miss Jen Lilley a bit--glad Kirsten's back but still...

Tracy can't stay away from Joe's Joy Stick --heh. That's awesome.  She can't get pregnant, no WTD story-- and she's over 25!! Joe's great around her as well.  I don't want him to be a meanie because I really love the two of them together. Let him run ELQ and be a nasty business guy-- enough mobular crap. 

Olivia was finally sprung from GH.  Just in time to witness  Connie kissing Milo in the back room. I still say if "Connie" Wants people to still think she's "Kate" she's being pretty stupid. (not to mention people around her not realizing she's not Kate) Thank you for putting Mac and Flea in there (god knows why she was there but I'm happy)-- and all the ladies of Port Chuck. Between that and the poker game we haven't had this kind of cast fun in a long, long time. LONG TIME. 

AND There was food!! It still boggles my mind that at Sonny and Brenda's wedding there were no extras and not even a cheese plate. LOL 

ROCK and ROLL!

Yet another Sonny wedding disaster is coming!! 

Let's get to THE UGLY. 
I just can't with this. It's wrong in so many ways. I do think Sabrina or Dr. W will be Duke's something (kid, spy, niece, whatever) but stop the idiocy. We know she's going to take down her mighty mane, whip  off her glasses and be some kind of Lucy Coe Vixen.  When she looked at Robin/Paddy's wedding photo, it creeped me out. 

ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM: Um...wow.  Liz..what's up? Very out of character for a mom that lost her baby and has had more Who's the Daddy episodes than Maury to switch to deny someone their kid but eh..that's drama for ya. She'll come clean so not all is lost. I guess it makes for some guilt and great curly hair. By the time anyone figures it out though,  Heather will probably be setting Victor up in preschool in Venice. 

SCENE  OF THE WEEK:  Two of my fave people-- in the same room doing a verbal dance. I  swear Finola Hughes is the best thing to happen to GH since the whole regime change. And LOVE the fact she's police commish. A lady at the helm!! 

RUNNER UP: Lulu "teaching" Milo how to strip from the crowd.  Awesome little moment and very cute. 

HEART MELTER: Emma and her Daddy.. aaaaaaaaaah!!! These two are just darling. DARLING!! More please.

NOT THE SCENE OF THE WEEK: See above... the Nurse Betty Dr. Britt stuff is just painful. Even more so than NuXtina --which is saying something.

Can we just retire these already? Thanks.

Burton's last week-- and I know plenty of people out here 'in the real world' that are not happy about "Jason" leaving the show. Remember, a lot of other actors have left and come back. Not to say he's coming back but I think his exit will leave that possibility. I have heard SK is going to be AJ which would be cool because it opens the door for some awesome Michael/Daddy stuff.  We shall see! 

I say: Get the baby stuff cleared up once and for all, get the DID ConKate over with-- hurry up on the Robin reveal yada yada.  The 2pm time messes with my schedule--but I think it's been good for the show's ratings. (and lead in to "Katie" in most markets)

Jason and Sam are cornered at the Chinese Restaurant, having to pretend  to be all happy. The poor Old Lady is sick routine. Now they HAVE to stay! Those are the same actors that were there last year.  Sam was crying pretty well. 

Trey gets about a lifetime's worth of information in 2 minutes from Dad. LOL "I know it's an awful lot" YOU THINK!!??  They had matching shirts on. 

John would have totally smelled Heather if he was that close! LOL He swabbed Victor Jr's cheek for DNA with a giant swab..geesh.

Sunday Surgery: Olfactory

Are you ready to scrub on up? I have a new scrub outfit with cupcakes all over it. Hope you like it! 

Of course the saddest news this week is that John Ingle passed away. Can you believe he made it on for one last goodbye? You know that took something special and he did it for the fans. Why  else would he come back? Jane Elliot probably had a hand in it too. 

This week's GH was split up for me because of work. I'd apologize but you know that work has to come first--especially with a kid in a private college. I need to win the lotto and soon! Jason was finding out about the Bay-Bay being alive, and I was glad to see Spinelli helping. That "Alaska" Trip was just plain weird.  

Anna came back, thank goodness. She must have been detained by customs! This week seemed like a bit of a "wrap" week. "Wrap" the Krissy tells her parents she's married "Wrap" the Sam baby issue..."wrap" the Heather gets her paws on Victor..yada yada.  

And there's the Giant Elephant in the room. Nurse Betty. "Sabrina"..Anne Hathaway before she gets Julie Andrew-ed. You name it. There she is...with her giant ass'd glasses on mooning over Patrick who has eyes for the bitchy NuDoc. 

*sigh* I mean...now COME ON. REALLY? What. The. Yes, we need some different stuff but this??  Lucy Coe did it...and I'm sure once ol' Betts whips those  glasses off and foofs her hair she'll be glam-jamma. In the meantime, bitch Doc will be found out to be a wench who, although pretty has the soul of burnt toast. One of them is probably working for Duke.

LOVE JoSey as I'm calling them. Great scenes. Jane is doing such a fun job-- and Joe fits her well. She's kind of like the NuDorian.  Not all sexual stuff has to take place with junior mints.  I do have a feeling that Luke's not going to like this guy!

"Wait...the blood types don't match"??? "Wait... um...you mean one has hemophilia"? "Wait... you mean wait... what day is it"?? 
What a complete weenie this character is. LOL... when Anna called him the "hero" of the whole Pathogen thing I was rolling. ahahha.  Yeah, right. We're lucky he didn't kill off the whole town. 

Liason Kisseroonie. Hmmmmmmmm. NOW they have JaSam at the Chinese place with their little ceramic figures. It's just the tease that Cartini is putting you all through!! Do you get that? I know you did. Jason figured out the entire blood trail baby switching plot right down to the shack connection. He's such a hero!! 

EYEBALL Acting

I'll be honest. One day I think the whole Connie thing is fun...the next? I'm sick of it. I thought when she saw Olivia and gave her the hairbrush, that was great. But sometimes,  the eyeball stuff..? ugh 

Why did I name this Olfactory? Because I think I figured Olivia out. She sees things not as they will be...but as they are. Smells them if you will.  The water was tained, she saw it.  Ewan was evil... she saw it.  She sees Connie as she is.  Which I have to wonder what it is when she saw Lulu Pregnant. Hmmm. 

Lisa celebrated her 4th year on GH this week as well! She always remembers her "anniversary" and tweets about it.
Yeah for Lisa coming to Port Charles with her beer swiggin' Bensonherst accent. I still say Olivia and Sonny would be a great match. Now that Livvy can "see" through her wild LSD eyes, I can't wait to have her look in all those GH storage closets for our lost cast members! 

SCENE OF THE WEEK:  Tawd and Jax. Really enjoyed the dialog and these two actors together!! To be honest though, there were no stellar stand outs for me. 

NOT THE SCENE OF THE WEEK: I don't have a photo of it--but you know what it's going to be. Nurse BETTY and the FANTASY!! Tah-Dah!! Downton Abbey Dress to boot. 

This week seemed a bit uneven again. I didn't get the big payoff like I did the week before. I guess all weeks can't be smashing lol  I hope my schedule is calmer so I can watch more in real-time.

Friday's GH

OMG..well. Ugly Betty redux or what? Where's that nerdy nurses' braces?? She already has the stupid glasses. AND I JUST GOT THE SABRINA reference.!!  There she is...Sabrina herself. 

I mean.  Please. Really?? Not digging that. Then the DOC looks like a Cindy Crawford wanna be. This show was going so well. *sigh* THE Fantasy? AHAHAA. 
You know the doctor probably works for Duke. 


OK, Jason got everything in like a DAY with the blood types. I do enjoy him making Steven Larzzz Look like a moron though tee hee. THEN McJam figure out the entire timeline of events in 2.3 minutes at the Floating Rib and John gets to Llanview in about 2 minutes. lol

Johnny and Todd talk with CARLY IN THE KITCHEN? If she was really CARLY she would totally be listening in. 

Spinelli and Sam are still fun. He's like their little brother.

Watch The Crazy!

Oh ConKate is out in full force!! I loved the scene where she put Trey's medal in her mouth. SO suggestive on SO MANY LEVELS! I bet we find out Connie did seduce Junior after all... I also like the fact Olivia can see her. HEH.

SOD and a bunch of other sites report that Sean Kanan is returning to GH soon, in a contract role. Just what that role is...no one knows.
And  head writer Ron Carlivati  isn't even talking, all he tweeted was:  "the plot thickens"...

TV Guide isn't spilling and neither is SK.. all he'll say is that he's back and thrilled. Sean played AJ Quartermaine from 1993-97. Billy Warlock was the recast.  AJ was "killed off" in 2005.
