Dina Manzo Joins Online Soap "Tainted Dreams"

Dina Manzo is joining the cast of "Tainted Dreams"...an up and coming online soap created by  Sonia Blangiardo who has directed many soaps, including GH. In an exclusive to Celebuzz, Blangiardo explains the casting of Manzo:

Her character is described as a “smart and successful New York City corporate CEO whose younger gay brother [played by My Big Gay Italian Wedding's Anthony Wilkinson] will face unexpected circumstances due to his sexuality.”
“Coming from a large Italian family, I was immediately drawn to the character of Alessandra’s family dynamic,” Manzo says in a statement.
Regarding the casting, Blangiardo says, “I created the role of Alessandra with Dina Manzo in mind, and we are thrilled to have her join our cast. Her constant support of the gay community and her talent makes her the perfect choice for this series.”

 Monica's on..looking spiffy. Tracy has on her gorgeous mink-- (you know it's faux cause GH wouldn't pop for a real one). She told Sonny where to go.  Loved it. Lois MENTION!! And Mr. Ned had to fly out to see BrookLyn who had a "Stage Diving Accident".  Ned writes Tracy a note about Heather and the will.  BUT Tracy already had the story printed up in The Sun about the mob money. Whoops.

Olivia and Sonny. They should have been together over he and CAWNIE, imo. Sonny tries to seduce Connie. When AJ and Michael walk in, she says it was Sonny that planted the story in The  Sun.

KEVIN!!!!!! Walks into the PCPD He says he doesn't know Livvy-- and says Lucy was in therapy for years for the whole Vampire thing. Did you see the movie The Others?  This might be twisty-turvy!! 
Soon the whole Alison/Rafe thing is going to start. Hope you know your Port Charles. I watched it on and off so although I know who they are, don't know a lot. Not sure I'll care about them much. That's Alison, who married gorgeous RAFE..but was probably PG with Caleb's son. Now she's going to be murdered. 
NOTE: she said she was "on the run" but had time to spray tan? LOL
ALISON recognized Caleb...Kevin was lying!! EEK!

Sunday Surgery: Expectancy

It's another week to bear with the Wubqueen. GH isn't rocking my excitement boat. It's not bad by any means, but I find myself  yawning at some points and confused in others. I'm thrilled the show is staying on..Love to watch but-you know me, gotta be honest!! 

So... Color me sitting on the fence at the moment. Waiting for the vets to come back, waiting for Robin to return..waiting to hear that Robert's out of his coma. Waiting for the Nurses' Ball..waiting to see if the OLTLers are going back to NY--WAITING to hear who else is returning for the reunion.
In other words. Waiting. :tappingfoot:

Yep, that's me...DELAYING ACTION--  until something else happens.  Anyone else feel like these last few weeks were like treading water? Or am I just over it? 

Ah...I just don't know.

I mean, why would I even root for Sabrina and get invested (I mean, if I did like that idea)--when I know ROBIN IS GOING TO WALK in at any moment?  And let's face it, this isn't a Colton- Felicia- Frisco situation. Because, er... Sabrina is NO Colton Scott. So, whatever. Unless Britt winds up pregnant and creates HUGE angst when Robin returns, don't bother me.

The FUNNIEST thing this week was when Dante and Lulu walked into the hospital literally 2.3 minutes after they left Turkey. Hell, she basically had just texted Maxie! OLTL was into time travel, true but this was pretty hilarious. And why do you think they went there in the first place? was it just to get them out of town so the tryst could happen? It was just..strange. At least the guy with the beret had a day job. 

Speaking of STRANGE--the entire Anna and Sonny conversation was. Well. There it is. Fiji water got a nice plug, but other than that?  I guess the cast integration was interesting. But here's the police commish having the head of the mob boss in her office for a chat to tell him about Faison killing Jason. Wonder if she paid Monica the same visit? 

THE STRANGEST OF THE MOST STRANGE... the cousin Cha-Cha. yep. You can finish that sentence cause I got 'nothin'. 

SCENE(S) OF THE WEEK:  Emma was my highlight this week. She's a doll and I want to take her  home.  She needs a pint-sized Emmy. LOVED her faces at Britt. heh. 

NOT THE SCENE OF THE WEEK: Oh, what I would have given if Krissy had been in a snuggli!! 

NEW-DO of the WEEK: Chopped hair, new dress...you know Carly's going to sleep with someone new soon!  Hope someone's taking good care of Joss and Morgan isn't out plotting his escape from that military school. 

PROP OF THE WEEK:  Give it UP FOR Johnny's NEW T-SHIRT!! Woo hoo!! It's all fresh and that stinky purple shirt is ( I hope) HISTORY!! And yes, it's technically from wardrobe but I'm giving it the honors this week.

There you have it. Yes, I know Nedly was back--but for how long? And let's hope it's not just to stand around with his coat "running into" people and snarking on AJ. Tracy goes to Sonny for some help. There's the whole "who's the other Q"?? I'd say TJ has a connection to Justus but how  would Carly know  that?? Speculation is that FRANCO has a kid out there somewhere that I guess could make a claim on the will. Maybe Ellie is secretly Franco's love child. I don't know. She do have Michael Jr's red hair. LOL.

Ah, Deadline...!! Look at this report they have up! The new production team at GH really have to be given such a great credit for this turnaround. And of course, so do we the fans who have stuck in there forever!! 

Now I hear that CBS is poised to renew The Bold And The Beautiful, and ABC has no plans to cancel General Hospital (the series is on a perpetual production track and doesn’t need formal renewals if the network wants to keep it on the air)

Sunday Surgery: Wooden Splinters

Well, love it or hate it, GH was a carnival of fun delusion this week!! Chair-leg stabbing, crazy courtroom antics, Heather Webber, wiggling toes, Turkish prisons and miracle pregnancies abounded!! 

Grab your Clozapine and garlic, sit scrub up and sit down!! 

AJ certainly got lip-service this week! Both Connie and Carly were rightthere -- Connie of course, to make Sonny jealous and Carly? Well, Carly was being Carly. I was surprised she didn't have vodka poisoning after downing 88 shots but watching her tear into Todd's wardrobe was grand. Buffy and the scissors!! 

Did anyone NOT see "Maxie you're already pregnant" coming?? Oh geesh.. it's going to get weird. We'll go for 9 months of her lying about the baby's origin, the angst of not telling, the birth--the guilt..the longing..the Spinelli reveal..then probably the back switch-back. Kind of like then Marci adopted Hope--and then Starr wanted her back. (that was a double-blind switch, but still giving up an adoptive baby) Wake me up When September ends. heh.

Great writing all around this week. Yes, the courtroom stuff was unbelievable but hey-- whatever. I loved Todd on the stand, trying to convince us he's damaged, but he's not in control. So TODD. *sigh* Heather and Lucy were pricelesss-- discussing "Whipped Innocence" in Ferncliff. Lucy realizing just who Heather is. heh.. Arguing about their sins against the Qs. 

Yes, he still has on the shirt he's had on since December 20th!! Rejoice in it's stench!! Todd shouldn't have asked to be beat up, he should have just wiffed the shirt!! OY! 

SCENE OF THE WEEK: This was my favorite-- I just cracked up. Todd was like "Just your every day stake through the heart"... the whole thing in the hospital was fun, and Sam jumping on Todd's back, well..worth every penny!! 

NOT THE SCENE  OF THE WEEK: Look at NLG's face..says it all.  Lisa LoCicero is also in this scene. They must have been thrilled to be in it. @@ 

STUPID OF THE WEEK: Come on-- first of all Turkey is 8 hours ahead of the  USofA. And Lulu gets service in the lobby of some grungy prison--even able to text? Then she and Dante have some lame conversation about Maxie in the lobby. LOL.. it was random and not needed, imo. Did give me some good snark material. I'm still wondering how the PCPD is running without Anna, Dante and now McBain with the stab wound! The beret on the Turkish guard was also stylish. 


PROP PALOOZA this week!! I was in HEAVEN!!!!!! 

THE CHAIR LEG/STAKE: That's Lucy swinging that chair to get the leg off..because it will be a WOODEN STAKE!! That's the way you do it!!

THE SCISSORS: Not only were they an homage to Buffy, they also cut Carly's hair!! All hail the scissors!! 

JOHN'S SILVER CANE: Couldn't get a photo of him with it--but it boots his vampire factor up by 10!!

TV Guide has another interview with Steve where they basically ask him why he went to Y&R so soon.  Excerpts: 

TV Guide Magazine: You can't be broke yet. Why jump back into the suds so soon? Burton: I've had an incredible time with my family, taking my daughter to gymnastics, coaching my son's football team, shopping at Target — stuff I never got to do when I was at GH— but I never intended to retire. I'm a worker and CBS stepped up and made a deal. It all happened so fast, just like the telenovela I'm putting together with [Y&R exec producer] Jill Farren Phelps and James Franco for Sony. We're inches away on that project. It's looking very promising. The truth is, if I'd gotten an offer for a primetime show or a movie, I probably wouldn't be on Y&R right now. I just want to work.

TV Guide Magazine: If GH had tried harder to accommodate your personal life would you still be there? Burton: I don't want to point fingers. I know there are a lot of disappointed fans. They don't really understand what goes on behind the doors. They don't understand why I wouldn't go back to play Jason if I'm ready to work again. But what happens at GH should stay at GH.

Erika Slezak is Back! Probably?

Erika Slezak has reportedly joined the cast of Prospect Park's "One Life to Live" revival.

According to Showbiz 411, Slezak and co-stars Jerry verDorn (Clint Buchanan) and Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan) have signed a deal to return to "One Life to Live" when it's revived on The Online Network.

A rep for Prospect Park said they could not confirm the report and a request for comment from Slezak's rep was not immediately returned.

This week  I'm saying almost the entire show was filler--with some lighter notes here and there. Turkish prisons, Swiss clinics-- people on the phone, plugs almost pulled... zexy shower suds. 
Anna was back on after 15 days of being MIA. 

But real moving forward stuff? Nah...that came from behind the scenes! Genie's coming! Jon Lindstrom!! Prospect Park's really going to move the other soaps online --and soon!! Steve  Burton goes to The Young and the Restless!! We found out the Nurses Ball  will start to ramp during sweeps and go until April 1st, the date of GH's 50th anniversary. Many others will show up for the celebration! woot!  Things are looking up people!!

You read my open Letter to Dante and Lulu I hope. Having them leave to "go find Luke" was flat out weird. Why not just have Dante attend a police convention and Lulu be busy at the Haunted Star? Why would they traipse off to dang Turkey? 

Ellie was told she's not going to walk (probably) -- and then we didn't see her. BUT! We did get to see a lot of Trey. Along with Xtina (bleck). And I'm  sorry but the "connection" between he and Connie fell so flat I couldn't stand it. The writing was all over the place for those two. They never interacted enough before the accident to make me care now. And when they DID interact, she was basically telling him she should have aborted him. Ergo, don't really care about her desperate eyebrow acting when it came time to pull the plug. Then there was Xtina. (I refuse to call her Kristina). The WEAK link in this story bar none. Wow. Just really painful. 

You could see THIS coming a mile away. Reminds me of a 1000 plots. How long will she be paralyzed for? How long will guilt keep Spin with her? What about the Spixie baby? *sigh*
Given the fact I don't really care about Ellie, it's not high on my importance list at the moment.

Sam and McBam...Kelly did a good crying job. Ironically, the "Jason is really dead" scene came on the same day that Burton announced on the Talk he was joining the Young and the Restless. Nice synergy there. I don't want a recast-- and I hope they let the character go into the Q crypt for good. 

Nice job with McBain and Todd--from the actors anyway. The writing? Well, I don't think Todd would have fallen for the phone taping stuff. He's too crafty. It was light-hearted however and given the dull show that Friday was, I could have watched them the entire time. 

Oh, and what else is coming? AJ..making out with Connie and possibly Carly (She must get  HAMMERED!!). Interesting. Maybe. Can't tell yet. 

SCENE OF THE WEEK: Ok, nothing riveting this week, but I did like Lucy's bubble dress and Tracy ordering the rib platter. It was also nice to see Mac and Lucy interacting and talking about old times. 

RUNNER UP: Carly and Todd... I really liked their jail house scene. AND LOOK AT LW's  hair. wowza

NOT THE SCENE OF THE WEEK: ANYTHING with Xtina and Trey-- it was so bad that any scene the was supposed to be angst was just sad. 

SOUND  EFFECT OF THE WEEK: Cawnie "whistling" in the pokey.  Or as she called it, the "hoosegow". 

UBER BAD HAIR DAY: Um. what IS THIS?! Even Liz is like "hell, girl..get some static spray"!
